MOVE OF THE YEAR "RICK ROSS AIHAMISHIA MMG, ATLANTIC RECORDS"

Posted in , ,

After canceling his remaining MMG tour dates, Rick Ross has one more announcement about his Maybach Music Group empire. In an interview with Miami’s 99 Jamz, the Bawse dropped two big pieces of news. First he revealed that his Maybach Music Group will merge with Atlantic Records and Rozay also announced his sixth solo album will be released in summer 2013.
Despite his beef with new Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records, Young Jeezy, the MMG honcho seems confident in this move. Jeezy was signed on as Senior VP of A&R back in August. MMG, currently consisting of Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, Gunplay and Omarion, was previously signed under Warner Brothers Records. Although the Bawse didn’t elaborate on details of the move he claimed that Warner and Atlantic have a “beautiful relationship.”
“I’m excited for this year we got coming up man. This is really huge. MMG we just merged with Atlantic Records. It’s the biggest move of the year. We gonna leave it right there,” he revealed during the interview. “I’m signed as a solo artist to Def Jam. And Meek Mill, Wale, we all MMG at the end of the day,” he added.
The Grammy-nominated rapper added that he plans to release the title of his sixth album on New Year's Day (Jan.1).
