Alicia Keys Burns Up the Screen With Maxwell in 'Fire We Make' Music Video

The R'n'B pair heat up the new music video as they deliver the steamy duet off her 'Girl on Fire' album.

Alicia Keys Burns Up the Screen With Maxwell in 'Fire We Make' Music VideoAfter releasing her hit song "Girl on Fire" and performing in a series of celebrity-packed events that included the Super Bowl, President Obama's inaugural ball, and the NBA All-Star Game weekend, R'n'B songbird Alicia Keys returns with another potential hit from her "Girl on Fire" studio album. This time, the 32-year-old entertainer drops her soulful duet with hunky crooner Maxwell entitled "Fire We Make", premiering its beautifully-shot music video filmed in New Orleans.

Set inside a French Quarter hotel, the Chris Robinson-directed clip tells a period love story that starts off with sparks flying between the lovely pair. Keys portrays the role of the pretty Battiers Boarding House receptionist as Maxwell serves as her highly-anticipated, mysterious guest.

As Keys leads Maxwell to his assigned room, the attraction is unquestionable, but both instead retreat to their own separate rooms to quell their overwhelming desire. Keys cools it all off with a bowl of ice as she herself dishes her own icy-smooth vocals which Maxwell ably matches with his impeccable falsetto.

They continue trading their smooth vocals well into the next scenario where they sing to each other across the room in a crowded juke joint. As the song is about to end, Maxwell runs back to the boarding house where Keys finds him waiting for her out on the front porch, where they clasp one another's cheek, and their attraction fascination is culminating in a sweet gesture.

Stevie Wonder Performs With Alicia Keys; Receives Billboard Icon Award

Posted in , ,
Before he was honored with this year's Billboard Icon Award, the legendary Stevie Wonder closed the 2012 Billboard Music Awards performances with a grand collaboration alongside Alicia Keys.

Keys joined Wonder on stage for a set which included his hits "Higher Ground" and "Overjoyed," before performing a stripped-down version of her hit with Jay-Z, "Empire State of Mind."

Alicia Keys took a moment between their performance to honor Wonder with the Billboard Icon Award. Wonder follows in the footsteps of Neil Diamond, who was given the Icon Award at the 2011 ceremony.

Wonder continued by performing his new single, "Ten Billion Hearts," from his upcoming album of the same name. Last month, Wonder serenaded President Barack Obama and an intimate crowd with "Ten Billion Hearts" at a private fundraiser at the San Francisco home of billionaire Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce.com, according to USA Today.

After Wonder closed the show with "Superstition," Wonder stopped through the Billboard Music Award press room to announce that while working on his upcoming album, he's also working on a record label of his own, according to Billboard Senior Editor Gail Mitchell.
